About Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Officer’s Association

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Officers’ Association was formed in 1968 - a forum for officers employed by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd., 43/46, Garden Reach Road, Kolkata-700024. It is registered under Indian Trade Unions Act, 1926 with Registration No. 7889 dated 04th July, 1968. It is also affiliated to the National Confederation of Officer’s Associations of Central Public Sector Undertakings (NCOA) - the Apex Body of Officers of Central Public Sector Undertakings. The association has organized the Officers of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. under one roof, in order to provide them with a sense of identity. Since the first day of its journey the association is playing its vital role very successfully, towards social, economic and moral development of the members as well as our organization GRSE Ltd. which has become possible only due to very active participation of members and good governance by the leaders. Towards harmonization between all similar industrial sectors in India, the GRSEOA is playing a leading role among members of forum of Indian Defence Shipyards Officer’s Association - the common platform which was established in 2008, to coordinate between all shipyards under Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India.
